Going Home… but There’s no Home?

August 23, 2007  //  Posted by: meemax  //  Category: Family, Life, Maharlika

Yup, I’m going back to Maharlika, my country my home.

Problema. Wala na akong home dun!

That’s right. Wala na! As in gone! Vavoom! Chuwing!

Wala na po kase ang pamilya ko sa Cebu. Nagmigrate na sa ibang bansa. At ang above 21 nyong yours truly, eh hindi covered ng petition nila.

So heto ako. Uuwi. Walang uuwian.

Pero sige pa rin! Para makakain ulit ng lechon!

Feel ko lang tumingin kung nag-Explore ba any of my pictures sa Flickr. Explore mean naging top 500 of the day ang iyong picture determined by Flickr’s algorithm.

Chad-dang!

Parang birthday o kung anumang milestone sa Flickr life ko. Haha!

Ang Pagmamaliit sa Kapwa

August 15, 2007  //  Posted by: meemax  //  Category: Maharlika

“…Just recently, I wrote a funny article in my magazine column and my friends thought it was hilarious. It was humorous and quite tongue-in-cheek, or at least I thought so, until the magazine got a few e-mails from people who didn’t get the meaning of my acerbic wit. The bottom line was just that I had offended the reader’s socioeconomic background. If any of these people actually read anything thicker then a magazine they would find it very funny. Most people don’t get the fact that they need bitches like me to shake up their world, otherwise their lives would be boring and mediocre. I obviously write for the a certain target audience and if what I write offends you, just stop reading.

Although it may sound elitist to you the fact is this country is built on the foundation of haves, have-nots and wannabes. One group will never get the culture of the other. Although I could mention that it is easier to understand someone who has a lower socioeconomic background that would entail a whole other page and frankly I don’t want to be someone to bridge the gap between socioeconomic classes. I leave that to the politicians in my family who believe they can actually help. Now I seriously ask you, am I being a diva or are people around me just lacking in common sense? Perhaps it’s a little of both!”

Yung naka-bold, ako na nagbold wehehehehe. Masayang basahin yun eh. Nakapapambobo naman kase ng argument na yan. Dito para sa kabuuang artikulo.

Tungkol naman sa “my friends thought it was hilarious” parang ayokong makilala mga friends nya.

Kayo na hong bahalang humusga. Nakakapanlumo talaga.

Stop Me!

I’m liking photography. But please.. please somebody stop me! I’ve recently splurged on a good camera and hopefully I will stop here. I don’t wanna go all the way to SLR-level. Mahal yung bisyong yan!

(Si Lem kase eh. Pinatikim sa akin for two weeks yung kanyang camerang nagpapaganda ng kuha. Yup, it’s the camera not me. Don’t wanna go back tuloy hehehe.)

My First Photo Backlog

August 03, 2007  //  Posted by: meemax  //  Category: China, Friends, Gala, Life

Honestly, never ko pang naexperience yang backlog sa mga picture ko. E kase naman, never naman akong nag-eedit at nagpapaganda ng pictures hehehe..

Yup I went to Beijing China last week with my best friend Gaia.

Hahay, I was supposed to post Flickr sets (I use flickr to post the medyo-nice pics, kunwari magaling ako pero in reality tsamba lang yan. Nyaha!), and create photo blogs (para make kwento naman mga pangyayari, so saya!).

This week, I’ve been going home by shuuden (meaning last train no!). Wa na me time para sa edit-edit. Huhuhu… T_T

So eto, dahil gusto ko naman ishare sa mga tao ang mga pictures (me iba kase gustong makita yung hitsura, etc. etc.). Eto na! Ipopost ko silang lahat!!!

Personal intro muna. Ehem ehem…

Maalikabok sa Beijing. Grabe na the pollution na pati smog eh nasa earth level na. Hazy lahat. Move away from one thing for 2-3 meters, medyo hazy na sya. Pag pupunta kayo, advice sa akin, punta kayo sa winter or spring. Pangit for pictures ang haze as you’ll see.

Ito na po ang pictures!

More to come sana pero baka tamarin na kayo since nakita nyo na lahat. hehehe…

Enjoy po kayo. =)

PS: I’m going to Osaka, to Nagoya and to my Maharlika this month. Backlog na naman. Haaayy…
